## THC Design - Blue Viper - Flower - 1g Blue Viper opens strange and then makes total sense: a hoppy, almost beer-like sweetness up front, chamomile and lemon underneath, and a savory blue cheese note on the exhale that most flower never goes near. THC Design crossed Blueberry with Cobra to get there, and the result is a hybrid that reads creative and uplifting rather than heavy. This 1g box is the sampler size, a small amount of flower sized for a first taste before committing to a bigger jar. Grind it for a bowl, roll it yourself, or just smell what's in the box. ### Quick Specs | | | |---|---| | Type | Hybrid | | Format | 1g flower, small box | | Onset | Within minutes of the first bowl or joint | | Duration | About two hours | | Best Time | Afternoon into evening | ### Genetics & Lineage Blue Viper crosses Blueberry with Cobra, two parents that explain the split personality in the box: Blueberry brings the sweetness and the berry note that shows up in the name, and Cobra brings something sharper and more savory that turns into the blue cheese and diesel side of the flavor. THC Design classifies Blue Viper as a hybrid, and that tracks with how it smokes: not a pure couch strain, not a pure daytime one either, more a middle ground that leans toward creative energy. ### Flavor & Aroma This is not a strain that smells the way its name suggests. Break open the box and the first thing that hits is something sweet and hoppy, almost like a beer note, with chamomile and lemon folded in underneath. Myrcene, limonene, and caryophyllene are the dominant terpenes here, and that combination is exactly what gives Blue Viper its range: myrcene for the herbal weight, limonene for the citrus lift, caryophyllene for the peppery edge. On the exhale the flavor turns savory, blue cheese and diesel, berry still lingering at the back. It is an unusual profile and one worth smelling before you grind it. ### Effects Blue Viper runs creative, uplifting, and euphoric, the kind of hybrid that works for a task that needs a little spark rather than a full stop. It is not marketed as a sleep strain, and this small box is sized more for sampling than for an evening wind-down session. THC Design has not published potency numbers for this batch, and none are repeated here, so pace the first bowl and see how the flavor and the head feel before rolling a second one. ### Best For - **Trying before the bigger jar:** a short session to test the flavor and the effect - **A creative nudge:** an afternoon that could use a spark - **Sharing a single joint or bowl:** for grinding down and passing around - **Unusual terpene profiles:** for anyone curious about the flavor range here **Not for:** stocking a jar for the week; this box is a one or two session size. ### Pairings The hoppy, chamomile-lemon nose pairs oddly well with a slice from a North Beach pizza counter, eaten standing near Washington Square Park. If you want something that leans into the blue cheese and diesel finish, a plate of focaccia with olive oil does the trick, savory against savory. For the creative lift, bring a sketchbook or a paperback from City Lights to a bench in the park and let the afternoon slow down around you. A short espresso afterward keeps the energy from dipping too far. ### Cultivation THC Design grows Blue Viper indoors at its Los Angeles facility, part of a genetics library that has grown past a hundred varieties since the brand moved into the licensed market in 2016. This 1g format is packed as a small box rather than a jar, sized for a taste of the batch rather than a full eighth. ### Dosing **New or occasional:** one small bowl or a few pulls off a hand-rolled joint, then wait before more. **Regular:** the full box across one or two sessions is a reasonable pace. **Experienced:** a full bowl or joint in one sitting, though the box is small enough that most people will stretch it over more than one smoke. ### Storage Keep the box sealed and out of direct light, ideally moved into a small airtight jar once opened, since a small box is not built to hold humidity or aroma for long. A cool, dark drawer works better than a sunny windowsill or a car. --- ### Similar Strains - **Gold Standard Purple Octane 14g:** another hybrid with an unusual, funk-forward terpene profile for anyone who liked the Cobra side of Blue Viper. - **A Golden State Garlic Blossom 3.5g:** a savory, hybrid pick for smokers drawn to the blue cheese and diesel notes here. - **Connected Permanent Marker 3.5g:** a heavier indica-leaning hybrid for anyone who wants the same creative funk with more body relaxation. - **THC Design - Blue Viper - Estate Eighth - 3.5g:** the same strain in a bigger jar, worth stepping up to once the 1g box confirms the flavor works for you. --- ### FAQ **What is Blue Viper's lineage?** Blueberry crossed with Cobra. THC Design lists it as a hybrid. **Why does it smell like blue cheese?** That comes from the terpene mix, mainly myrcene and caryophyllene working alongside limonene, which also gives the savory diesel note on the exhale. **Is this the same strain as the 3.5g Estate Eighth?** Yes, same strain and same genetics, just packed in a smaller 1g box instead of an eighth jar. **What effects should I expect?** Creative, uplifting, and euphoric. It leans more toward daytime or early evening than a deep wind-down. **Is this a good size to try something new?** Yes, the 1g box is built for sampling a strain before committing to a bigger amount. **Can I roll this into a joint instead of packing a bowl?** Yes, grind it the same as any flower and roll it yourself; the box does not come pre-ground, so either method works. **How should I store the box?** Move it into a small airtight jar once opened and keep it out of direct light and heat. **Where does THC Design grow this?** Indoors, at the brand's Los Angeles facility. --- **Available at Gemme Verdi** 899 Columbus Ave, North Beach, San Francisco gemmeverdi.com [See today's deals at Gemme Verdi](https://www.gemmeverdi.com/san-francisco-cannabis-deals/)
